A walk down the wild side.

// June 5th, 2008 // View Comments // News, photography, prints

Last night I got the urge to do a nice little ‘old school’ spontaneous shoot, no planning, no make-up, just use what I have around the house. So grabbing Raquel, my great new friend and muse, we planted ourselves on the floor and just had some creepy fun with light, gold, white, and a few laughs.
What we came up with, in my humble opinion, is one of my best works.
So I got this up and out as soon as I could so there would be a PRINT available HERE for purchase.

Between Ice

A Study in melting.
While on a photo walk I discovered these amazing natural ice sculptures near a set of thawing out docks. The way the light was coming in from the setting sun was so unique and inspiring. I spent a long time relaxing and talking hundreds of pictures.
The chaotic beauty here reminds me once again that nature is indeed a great artist.

Full view a must on the pictures HERE.

NIN – 20 Ghosts III

// April 11th, 2008 // Comments Off // News, music

With the release of the new NIN CD(s) comes the Nine Inch Nails Ghosts Film Festival. You can read/hear about the announcement here. I’m sure I was one of the first million to buy the new CD online, (only $5!), and it’s quite a collection. So when I heard about the open call for videos, well, I just jumped on that!
Together with Nina McEvoy and Raquel Nevado we set out to make something powerful, something that could breath life into the music. Also, keep it simple was also the goal. So with Nina and Raquel laying naked on my lighting table with pieces of machinery between them, well, what could be more effective!
In order to keep the video as with the realm of copyrights as possible, the original footage is helped along with various film clips from 1897 – 1902.
Full video can be viewed HERE. And feel free to comment or rate it.
