Last night I got the urge to do a nice little ‘old school’ spontaneous shoot, no planning, no make-up, just use what I have around the house. So grabbing Raquel, my great new friend and muse, we planted ourselves on the floor and just had some creepy fun with light, gold, white, and a few laughs.
What we came up with, in my humble opinion, is one of my best works.
So I got this up and out as soon as I could so there would be a PRINT available HERE for purchase.

The Membership Foundation

I’ve just launched a side project of mine called “The Membership Foundation“.

This is a very personal project for me. This is my way of giving back to all the people who’ve inspired me over the years.
So far I’m doing three sites, Flickr, Zooomr, and of course deviantART.
My goal is to give away one year pro memberships. I’m giving away three memberships per month, one person per site.

Mysterious Blurrs – My city

Normally I would talk on and on, giving each picture a story of such detail. But for this series, I wanted to bring out my personal side. So I bring to you my mystery. My love of mystery. Never will I talk about what these are pictures of. I will say this. These pictures are indeed photos. Except for the framing set up, no modifications where used in creating these effects. These are all in camera.

The city by night, the city by day. Forcing focus, forcing contrast. Bring out the basic shapes and colors of what we see everyday. Sometimes the light hits the lens just right and there’s no point in even trying to focus.
